year of model, new nut, worth, sending

Hi there, I'm about to sell my bass. Therefore I have a few questions.
1. I am wondering about when it is made:
It seems to be a Stingray Natural/Fretless, unlined - 3EQ--Fretless Pau Ferro, Serial: 25503

2. Unfortunately, it needs a new nut. Does anybody know about how much the fix would cost?

3. Does anybody know about how much the bass would be worth.

4. I only have a bag. What would be a good way to send it???

That serial number does not correspond with your bass. Any letters in front of the numbers?

Unfortunately, that is the number, no letters, and it is on the bridge.

Serial# 28404 is 24 Apl 1989.

Yours is prob 87 or 88 vintage...only way to be sure is to take the neck off and look at date stampings.

Did some more digging. Serial #25503 was built 6/87.
