Yellow Sub?

No, I'm not singing a Beatles song, I'm talking about my (what I thought was ) white Sub5. I noticed when I changed the pickguard that the front of the bass has a yellowish tinge to it. It isn't very noticeable. As stated I didn't even notice it until I removed the pickguard and saw how pristine and white it was under there. Any idea what caused this and how to get rid of it? I tried bleach and cleansers to no avail. It almost seems to have been painted that way, but I know better than that. It has never been in a smoker's home, and the previous owner stated that he never gigged it at all, so I can't figure out what it is and where it came from. Now that I've noticed it, it is very distracting and distressing. The back and sides of the bass are white but the front has that slight yellowish tinge to it.

Yea, but I want to keep it pristine! Either that or distress it like crazy from years of wear. Either one will do.

If you want to keep it pristine: Put it in the case and lock it up in a vault.
If not, you have to live with white aging to a light yellow over the years...

It's not just smoke that will do that. It's UV light, dust, pollutants.....sweat.

Sometimes white paint will even yellow in the dark. Embrace the mojo!

You guys make me laugh. I've only ever had one white bass before and I didn't keep it long enough to tune much less turn yellow. One of those "lessons learned" about playing a bass before you buy it things. Thanks for the input. Honestly, I don't care if it turns moldy green, I still dig the way this bass sounds!
