TI Powerbass - any experience?

i've always - and i mean ALWAYS - used super slinkies (4-string), and i'm thinking i need a change - heard good things about TI flats, but i like my strings to sustain...but the raw treble of slinkies have always got to me a bit

and how's the string tension on the TI's - similar to super's?

I tried a set of TI Powerbass strings on a Bongo4 SC/H. Very nice. Can't compare them to super slinks. Lower tension than the regular slinks that came on it. Felt nice, played nice. Gave more growl than the slinks but less than stainless. Travis may have some more input since he had the bass for awhile. Definitely worth trying in my opnion.

I hesitate to post TI information on the EBMM forum but if you follow the links in my signature you "may" find the info you require. ;)

The overall string tension of a 4 string set of TI Powerbass EB-344's is 183.62 lbs so they are not what I would consider "low" tension at all when compared to the TI Jazz Flat JF-344's at only 140.19lbs.

I don't know the tension on the Slinky's.
