ATTN Maddog,,,, the speaker cone moves freely and feels normal with no squeaking sound, and I had a second opinion that theres no burnt smell.

if this is really intriguing (sp?) you I can send you the speaker to look at you can disect it and tell us the reason it died. I'll send it to you to keep at my expense after payday next week as long as you share the info here.. PM me and LMK.. Taj

Just wanted to check once more (please bear with me):
1) The head works fine?
2) The patch cable works fine?

1) Head is perfect and both speaker outs worked seperately on my 4X10

2) brand new cables, but for the heck of it I switched them and cable is fine.

3) Ampeg SVT 15 EN > no fuses in this cab

remember I took the speaker out and put my house stereo wires on it and no sound came through?

also this speaker worked fine one nite and when I came back the following practice it didn't work at all.
