Hi,

First time here, great to see its not just Fender/Gibson/PRS with dedicated forums !

Well, I finally got me a pristine Axis Super Sport, MM90's, piezo, trem, in Transluvverly Purple (don't they do this colour anymore ?) even a 'proper' tolex case. Straight swap for my 3 year old LP deluxe, another lovely guitar but not somewhere where I felt completely at home. Now, with the Axis I felt immediately that that's where I belong, just my cuppa tea, found it at last ;-)

Of course I'd love to know when it was created, serial no: G08230 so any info there gratefully received.

I use a Cornford Hurricane (lucky bloke) for overdriven and a Trace Elliot Super Tramp for clean (till the wife let's me buy a Twin Reverb) with an A/B footswitch. Still trying to work out the best way to make use of both amps and piezo. If I run the piezo output to the Trace, and the magnetic output to the Cornford, I'm gonna missout on the clean magnetic signal. Is it a compromise to run just the one lead from guitar to A/B box as before ?. Or would there be any use in getting a stereo lead ?If so what could I expect ? . I just want to use everything the SS offers. Any advice appreciated.

Kev

PS. I wasn't particularly after MM90's , but man I love 'em

Hey MM90luver, welcome to the club! :) I'm currently awaiting delivery on my third Axis (a Super Sport) but all mine sport the humbuckers (love these pickups!!) I own a Goldtop LP Deluxe as well, and though I know I'd sell the Deluxe before letting go any of my three Axis' (Axises? Axi?), I hope it will never come to that. They're quite different guitars though - glad you found the one that's right for you!
