<Vader>Now my collection is complete.</Vader>

Meaning not that I have every possible Bongo 5 variant, but that I've got a representative spread... an H, an HS and an HH, fretted and fretless, piezos and plain.

Sorry for the crappy pic, but I just put in a 14 hour day at the office and better pics ain't gonna happen for a while.

This one was really an impulse purchase, driven mostly by a fair price and rarity. I would love to find out what the Envy Green Bongo production numbers were. There's at least some chance that this bass is one of very, very few like it.

From having been around (and purchased an Envy Green Bongo, now living with Strummer - of course) at the time, I'd say that's not going to be one of thousands.

Nice score! The Envy Green is a cool color.

This is the bass that was recently posted in the ebay/craigslist thread, at Imperial Guitar in Newburgh, NY (a little over an hour's drive from my workplace).

Got a good deal. I made them a reasonable offer... less than they were asking but more than the going rate for a non-rare Bongo5. The gravy is that it came with a fresh set of Slinkies and a brand-spanking-new EBMM case (definitely not the original...it's got the current Bongo logo nameplate on it).

Anyone within spitting distance of them... they've got a nice selection, including a 25th H. Nice guys.

Fantastic looking bass. Have you owned an HS Bongo before?

If not, let me tell you, they are quite special.

Congratulations on a great bass, nice way to end the year!

Congratulations. Since I own a Bongo 5 HH and a Bongo 5 single H I'm hoping to someday have a Bongo 5 HS as well. Here we go again!
