haha yeah I think bassists in youth orchestras had it worst. The cellos would get a harmony to play once in a while, but it looked like the bassists always had those eighths :p

Remember when they used that song for the "...and I'm an alcoholic" commercial?

"My name is Beth. And I'm a forumaholic..." *passes candle*

The medley was good, wasn't it?

Not quite like marrying a backwoods I-V footstompin' version of "Another Brick In The Wall" to "Istanbul (not Constantinople)", but good nonetheless.

Ahem.

Disney's Main Street Electrical Parade over Genesis sounds pretty insane...

Jack, that was awesome. Thanks for the post. Brings back memories cause I played the same 8 notes 54 times on the cello in 7th grade :(

Gee so when I used to play that on the flute and my pal Gemma had the cello part (she actually played cello), that's why she'd get this funny glazed expression and look like she wanted to throttle me? Aaah all these years I thought it was because I sucked!!! (though maybe it was that too...)

I nearly wet myself watching that :D Thanks Jack!
