a lot of you guys seem to be gung-ho EB rocks every other bass' socks.

i sorta view my new stingray as a means to increase my...well, you know how different basses have different sounds. that's what i want it for. i really like my carvin, but i'm thinking about selling it so i can make way for a carvin with different options.

do you guys have any other basses that you like just as much as your EB bass or maybe even better?

I am 100% pro-EB.

I am only 21, but since the age of 17 I have done a lot of experimenting with different basses. I have owned about 10 Ernie Balls, to include Sterlings, StingRays, StingRay 5s, and 2 Bongos (a Dual H 4 and a Single H 5).

I have also owned Laklands (1 USA and 2 Skylines), a handfull of Fenders, a Fernandes (highlt underrated), and even a Sadowsky about 3 years ago.

I am so pro-EB, because out of all these basses listed above I always go back to the EBMM. IMO they are the best basses made. Simply because they work best for me.

Thats why Im so pro-EB.

I have been playing for over 20 years and have owned more basses than most people see in a lifetime. Really. I have owned $200 basses and $4000 basses. EB's are the most consistant in terms of quality of build and sound I have ever touched. In addition to that, the EB sound has become "my sound" and I am very thankful for it. I own Fenders and G&L's too but EB's are my main players....all the time.

Went to a guitar show yesterday & played
plenty of fine basses I wouldn't mind owning.
A late model black/black SR4 got all my attention
& if not for my wife's scolding, I would probably
own it today. I'm hooked & I need help.

I've got an old Fender, and old Rick, an acoustic, and a custom fretless.

But my SR5 is the one ring to rule them all.

I've had lots of basses over the years -- Smith, modulas, Spector, Steiny, G&L, Fender, you name it. The only thing I'm interested in now is EBMMs. I love the tone, feel, looks, and history of Rays. The only other bass the interests me is the Mark King model Status Graphite, but I'm not ever paying that much for a bass again! :) Long live EBMM! :D

So, are you surprised that most/all of the posts at the Ernie Ball Forum are dominated by discussion about Ernie Ball/Musicman basses? If you would like to talk to other interesting and talented bassists (and even quite a few of us) about other interesting and high quality instruments, why not try www.talkbass.com or www.harmonycentral.com ?

You'll find the majority of posts at the Fender Forum, or the Carvin boards tend to be about Fender or Carvin basses, too. Funny how that works....

meh, i guess it was my mistake asking a question like that, but on other brand forums, there are people who favor other basses than the one in question. not true for all cases. actually...not in most cases, but i was just wondering if you guys thought there were any other basses you liked.
