It must be laquered varnished then, doesn't fel like the oil wax blend, nor look like it has anything..still feels great! It would be cool to do an all roasted maple neck too dontcha think? Tom Anderson is doing chocolate maple...smokin' stuff

I think there's some confusion here.

The Bodhi blue LIII is a regular LIII, which has an alder body, as mikeller said. It also has the roasted maple neck.

The Bali Burst LIII is a limited run LIII for Guitar Center that has a mahogany body and a maple top. It has a rosewood neck.

A BFR Luke II (we have not seen a BFR LIII yet) has an alder body with a mahogany tone block and a maple top. It has a regular maple neck.

I hope that helps.

It would be great if it is a mahogany body , that's what GC told me when they sold me the guitar . But when I called music man and gave them the serial # they told me its a alder body . It's a Bali blue burst with a maple top and a roasted rosewood neck . It's also the HH model but I think I'm going to exchange it for the HSS model .

That doesn't sound right. How about posting a picture?

I made the right choice with HSS the neck pick up made all the difference , I'm digging the sounds from this . By the way if anyone is looking for a HH Luke 3 they still have mine at guitar center in larchmont New York it's in perfect condition . Peace
