What up, it has been a long time since my first post, but I have some information that will get anyone who is currently looking for a new guitar going.
Guitar Center, Arlington Heights Il, is blowing all of there current stock of music man guitars, out!!!!!!!!! First of all I am not aware if this is happening at all guitar centers, if this particular guitar center will no longer be carrying ernie ball guitars, or when the sale will end or what the exact circumstances are, what I do no is that I would not be posting this if the savings were not huge.Put it this way, I have never seen the cost of an axis sport even in the same area code, as what I saw today. Call them now, do a quick look up on their website for the #, since I live so close, I just drop in.
The facts: I was looking for a new amp, possibly Mesa, and to try the amp out I grabbed the same rosewood axis-non-trem that casued me to purchase my rosewood axis w/ trem from chuck levins:And I was floored, I will not mention the price, but WOW!!!!! They currently had, two rosewood non-trem axis, but buy the one w/ the dark neck, it plays and sounds much better, 1 Sil aniversary burst, 2 lukes dark, solid color, and 1 sub. All were heavily discounted. especially the axis. Just a quick note on the guitars, I did not pull down the sil, it was up high, but from a distance it looked beautiful, Bth Lukes were up high as well, but I did not see any damage from where I was, The sub had some rough fret work, put plaid and sounded excellent, The dark neck axis was great to play, and had exceptional sound, but I have seen, better looking ones, as far as the lighter axis, it plaid pretty well, the sound while playing acoustic was not as deep and rich, and I think there may have been a little problem w/ the treble pup shorting out. Give them a call, and make sure they actually walk out on the floor to get the price from the new heavily discounted stickers. Good, luck!!!!!!!!!!!
