Very cool, BP. I hope you still have that bass.

How was the sound with a tuba?

Poppa that mustache really suits you. And somehow that pic remind me of a young James Taylor. Excellent, B&W pictures have such character.

Thanks for posting this, I love the old stuff.

And that bass is extremely hot - I'm also intrigued...how does it sound?

Hey Big Poppa, I see your old 'Ray photo and raise you with my old rick photo from 1979. It's a 73 jetglo and sorry about not having a ray, they had only been out a couple of years at the time. Unlike you, I did not keep this bass but I have a couple that are very similar.

Groovy picture Big Poppa...love the retro wood grain walls as well. Now can you remember what song you were playing? Was it Brady Bunch Gonna Find Me A Rainbow?? Or maybe Come On Get Happy from Partridge Family. I can just picture Reuben Kincaid tapping his foot off to the side.

"Motor Skills", one of THE most unpopular bands in Houston, circa 1979.

The guy on the far left, the guitarist, went nuts and now lives off Social Security in a travel trailer in Gautier, Mississippi.

The guy on the far right, the drummer, turned into a record producer/engineer and ran Rancho de la Luna studios in Joshua Tree until he died way too young a few years ago.

The guy in the middle, the bassist, became a soccer mom.

Looks like the kids from "That 70s Show"
