Hmm.... sorry if this has been done already... ;)

What would your be your custom made Ernie Ball MusicMan guitar?

1 - locking tuners, gold hardware, custom inlays, 22 frets on rosewood fingerboard with shaded white binding, bolt on maple neck, HH Seymour Duncan configuration, 3 way switcher, SM Y2D body shape with shaded white binding, and flamed maple top, custom finish + transparent pickguard

available with JP, SM or Floyd Rose bridge (each available with or withput piezo), and with HH or HHH pickups

2 - locking tuners 24 scalloped frets on rosewood fingerboard with shaded white binding, neck through body design, (back of neck and complete headstock and body are in black) Seymour Duncan pickup configuration, 5 or 3 way switcher, SM Y2D body shape with shaded white binding, and flamed maple top + SM Y2D transparent pickguard, custom finish - some cool Greg Martin painting

also available with JP, SM or Floyd Rose bridge (each available with or withput piezo), and with HH or HHH pickups

3 - double neck - upper acoustic 12 string and lower number 1 guitar :D

the first would be the main one, the second would be some kind of a shred machine :D and the third one... :D:D:D

I think I'm already making it. ;)

Of course it would be the proper Axis shape instead of the mutant I have above, but I'd have contoured edges on it, a chambered body (not quite semi-hollow, not quite solid body) 24 fret birdseye maple neck (man I wish the one I had was figured), and Seymour Duncans (Hey, Luke can have his EMG's... in my fictional world, I get my Duncans ;) ) locking tuners with pearl buttons, and the choice of hard tail or trem.

Various top woods would be used, but all of them burls, spalts, or anything but standard flame or quilt... that shows off the surrealistic, artistic talents of mother nature. Opaque paint would be strictly verboten. :p

JP with flamed maple cap on mahogany body and PRS HFS and Vintage Bass pickups in the bridge and neck positions. And maybe gold hardware. Maybe.

That's all. :D

I already have mine! It's called the Silhouette EBMM, minus my name on it. My name on it would be the only thing, and different PUPs that come stock on it  :D . Well I would like to see the same thing I have, vintage sunburst as a flame or a quilt, and also make the vintage sunburst a PEARL vintage sunburst. That would be some cool stuff right there  :D . But as I said, my Silo is already perfect as it is with some minor changes to it with the PUPs and switched the top hat knobs with black domes :D .

A carved top Axis with a wrap around bridge and a Morse neck. And maybe make it semi acoustic with some f-holes. This has been a question I've been meaning to ask for awhile "Has EB every considered making a carved top"?

From a practical standpoint, flat top guitars make a lot of sense in construction.... the trems block against the face easier, pickguards and/or rings fit easier, controls don't have to be recessed to keep them from sitting at weird angles...

... but the one tiny adjustment that could be made to the axis would be just radiusing the body just a bit at the forearm contour. I can't tell you how many people I've met that absolutely love the neck, balance, and tone of an axis but find the forearm area uncomfortable.

I think I'll be happy with one of the Raz signature models that's due to start production in 2025 I think. :D

Failing that a sig model that could make me play better, hit the right notes every time and look good while I'm doing it would probably suit me. How about it BP?

Wow, I really agree with you on this one. I think a JP with a maple top on mahogany body would be very nice, and I am a huge fan of PRS pickups, although I probably prefer the Dragon 1's.

humm... I think I already have it. hardtail axis SS with rosewood fingerboard and a bill lawerence L-500 in the bridge. oh... and those nifty little knobs that look like dice. (it's easier to fumble to different settings in low light with the dice) :D

wow. I look like an idiot.

What's the problem with my avatar Col? Don't fight it. I know you find it disturbing and yet oddly attractive :D
I knew I shouldn't have given your guitars back without getting that thing changed.

Basically, a JP7.

But with:
  • Standard arm contour, ala protoypes
  • Fretboard and headstock fully bound in pearloid
  • Ebony fretboard with no inlays
  • Blue Dawn finish

Mine would be an Axis contoured like a Silhouette, in some type of opaque finish with a maple board and matching headstock.

mine would have a mirror on it that told me that I am the fairest one of all everytime I asked!

seriously folks, this is great daydreaming, but I think its a little bit o' playing with fire on this thread... Remember "we seriously need an EBMM custom shop" thread?

Just my $0.02 in USD in the form of a wire transfer to our corporate account, thankyouverymuch
