I know this has prolly already been run b4 over the years but its always a good 'un especially for the newbs to contribute to .

Mine was a Red Watkins Rapier 44 trem and 4 pickups bought in 1970.
I'm sure my mam has a picture at home somewhere.

So what was it?

A black on black with maple neck Series A strat copy.
Cost me $129 used. It was acutally a really good guitar for the money. It blew away the $500 Kramer and $800 fushia coloured G4 Washburn (yes pink!) I later got. That was about 18 years ago. Look at what we know what to buy now!!! :p

fenix st-20 strat copy, but I put a fender scalloped neck on it I got second hand and it was cool!
Regret selling it - if it ever appeared in a shop I'd buy it again....

Univox Custom (black LP copy w/gold hardware) and a Stage 410 amp. My father knew an exec at Gulf & Western which was the Unicord parent company at the time so he got some kind of deal for me as a Christmas gift.

Before that I had been playing with a surf green Danelectro with lipsticks and a Fender Champ which a neighbor loaned me for a while. His family owns a music rental supply house in NYC.

Although at the time, and as a dumb teenager, the Univox and the Stage had much more "image" appeal, looking back, I sure wish I could have kept that old Dano and the Champ....Oh well

Fender Mexico Telecaster.
Nice one. Unfortunately sold it when I needed the money.

Peavey T60 - Played ok, but must have weighed more than any guitar ever made.. Swapped out pickups for EMG's after a few years and traded it + cash for a SG in the late 80's I think. 20 or so guitars later, finally found MusicMan and Hamer and will never let go of them.
