I did try and apologies to the guy if I had come across as a bit of an ASS
but as mentioned his post was a bit....wonky shall we say
I also tried my best to answer all his questions anyways and even ask him about his new found love of his gear

Any chance you can shoot this guy an email and let him know we were just needling him?

I think it was definitely a misunderstanding on his part about what sort of forum this is. Given his list of gear, I'm inclined to think this really isn't the right place for him right now.
