Question Does anyone own the Ball Family Reserve Rosewood neck basses?

ps: oil the fingerboard like you would on any rosewood boards. the neck probably should get the same treatment as other eb necks.. oil and wax

Better than I could have hoped really.
The neck is like glass!! unreal smooth and super fasssssst!!
The bass feels a good amount lighter than the Dargie HS stingray...????
I have them both on a 5 bass stand right now with a few others...
When I pick up each of the 2 stingrays, there is a very noticeable difference in the weight.
Would have thought it would be heavier? HUH? ODD?
No complaints, lighter is good...lol
The tone is a bit different...maybe resonates a bit more than the maple necked rays.
The look of it is just flat out crazy beeeeautiful, that is for SURE!!

I am thinking maybe put in my will, I want a rosewood coffin/Ice Blue lining/blue swirl pillow...... and want this baby put in box with me...hahahah!!

Hey does your Egyptian Smoke Bongo have the Python pickguard?
I am thinking about grabbing a mint Bongo fretless in that color with that pickguard...it is a lined fretless HS4.
Beautiful fretless and color combo.... packing some of that 18V ooooomph~...good combo!

Yes it does... great color and fits in with the other green basses... the feel of that RW neck is beyond belief though.

Yea the Egyptian smoke looks like it is a really "warm" grayish with light metalic pearl in it.
Looks great with the Pau ferro warm tone fretless board. In Pics at least.
I think I HAVE to MAKE myself grab this Bongo lined fretless HS4....
They just do not pop up hardly EVER anywhere.
I sold off two fretless basses in the past 6 months or so...
Really miss one hanging around....They are a blast to sit and mess around with!

And for sure the RW neck is beyond compare!
Either I am going nuts? OR, this RW neck feels a bit thinner than the Maple necks on my other Stingrays?
And for sure this bass is lighter than my other Rays.

Sadly nope...been knee deep in honey DO list BS ....
Been painting multiple rooms in between my "real work" the last few days till late night....
ughhhhh, painting sucks
Hope to get a sunny day this week and some time to put a stand by some windows and knock off some shots to share
