as I mentioned to Dargin earlier, I WAS NOT ADVISED THAT THERE WOULD BE A MINT GREEN OLD SMOOTHIE.

Cool that the Old Smoothie seems to have made it into the regular lineup. Hopefully someday will have to make a decision on whether to get that or a classic stingray.

Hmm.. nothing listed in the link about Sterling basses... just mean that there are no new colors for them, or are they being discontinued?

Great. I play bass for the Baltimore Ravens and the Firemist Purple Stingray 5 has my name written all over it. Just when I thought I didn't *need* another bass.

Been a while since I posted anything, but I couldn't hold back my excitement when I saw that new purple and black hardware bongo. I was actually going to order a stealth one today, but now I just have to wait until this new option available.

Sterling 4 and 5 will be available in the Firemist Gold and Firemist Purple and the reintroduced Powder Blue.

Anyone know if the Firemist Purple Bongo's have an Ebony or Rosewood board? I can't tell

Rosewood

Firemist colours have rosewood fretboards

They are also available with Maple on StingRay 4/5 and Sterling 4/5

Great bass! The 30th has a bound neck, stainless steel frets, red shell pickguard, flat top knobs and modified pickup and preamp for a new take on the flagship fiver.

Awesome about the colors for the Sterlings.

What is modified about the pickup and preamp for the 30th from the regular Stingray 5?

Thanks

From my understanding, it's a 5er version of the Old Smoothie pickup/preamp.

Also, I WAS NOT TOLD THE OLD SMOOTHIE WOULD BE AVAILABLE IN MINT GREEN.

I may have mentioned this before.
