That Messina Al is so nice .

Anybody remember the neckthrough black Albert - I think a prototype back in the day ?
Two humbuckers B4 Als had them.

Neck thru AL, it ended up being given to someone for doing some work for EBMM, if memory serves me right. He then later sold it off on EvilBay. BP had given us the story way back then.

Banjo, nice job man, I looked, but couldn't find the pictures.

Always thought the recessed knobs and switch was a nice touch.

That was a very nice touch.

We never got the neck thru Albert, but at least we got the neck thru StingRay. Someday, I will get one of those.

Thanks Banjoplayer. Yup, that's the one. Don't forget guys, back in the day there wasn't an Albert Lee with a rosewood neck or humbuckers. That was (still is) a lovely looking guitar. Ahhhhhhhh!

You´re welcome. I collected a lot of pics but that´s some years ago ;-)

I remember very vivid how excited the forum was about an AL with Humbuckers.... years before it existed!
The good old forum times...:D
There was a general AL (SSS/MM90) hype here (around 2007-2008) that made me buy my 94 pinkburst without even playing it and it is still, beside my Morse, the best guitar I own

Yes indeed good times. wasn't it "your friend" who had one of the first Alberts with a rosewood neck before changing to the Dark Side? ;-)

oh sorry I was getting you confused with somebody who played with Tyler Dow Bryant (back in the day, an EB Endorsee)

He was an endorsee, they were hoping he'd become one. I just saw something on line with him, he's changed a lot, I wonder if he regrets not going with EBMM.
