Welcome to Day 2 of my annual New Year's New Guitar Days (NYNGD)!

Hi all! Thanks for the kind words and comments on yesterday's NYNGD #2021-1!

If you're not familiar or didn't stop by yesterday, here's what this is all about: Every year, I am a slacker about keeping my Guitar Gallery up to date... So, as a fun holiday thing, let's launch a guitar in the Guitar Gallery each day as we ring in 2022! Standard caveat: In the past I've received PM's about my collection and whether I play all of these guitars. My answer is here!

Alright... shut the heck up Jeff and let's get going with the next guitar!

Now Christmas has passed, so I'm in a blue mood -- so let's continue with blue guitars! This amazing Luke III in Pacific Blue Sparkle is part of a limited run for Sweetwater and man is it awesome. It's a blue sparkle with a darker blue burst. Chrome hardware, awesome roasted maple neck, matching headstock, and the new Luke EBMM custom-wound humbuckers. Looks awesome, so much so that I also have a Majesty 6 in the same finish on order with Chris at Sweetwater! Sounds REALLY amazing, too. Some good pieces of wood went into this body and neck combination!

Man, this finish is sooo amazing. You really owe it to yourself to check these out at Sweetwater. The Pacific Blue Sparkle run includes LIII, Majesty, JP15, Cutlass, Sabre, StingRay, Silo, plus Bongo and StingRay basses. If you want to order, work directly with Sweetwater Sales Engineer Chris Leonard ([email protected]) -- he's a solid guy and will make sure you're taken care of. Tell him I sent you!

So... are you blue, too?

I'll be back tomorrow with another NYNGD: New Year's New Guitar Day!

Thanks for looking everyone!

Past Days:
The new EBMM message board limits the number of characters in a post so I can't put a list of direct links in the post. Click here for an index.

(The back story in case you're new to my NYNGD: For the past couple of years I've done a fun thing that most of you I think enjoyed, and I thought I would do it again this year. Every year, I am a slacker about keeping my Guitar Gallery up to date... So, as a fun holiday thing, let's launch a guitar in the Guitar Gallery each day leading up to New Years Eve! In the past I've received PM's about my collection and whether I play all of these guitars. :) The same question came up during my NYNGD posts a few years ago and my answer was pretty detailed and well thought-out, so please check it out here!)

(Also, in case anybody gets any funny ideas -- these guitars are not at my house. They are all in my very secure and alarmed studio facility. I usually only have two guitars floating around the house...)

Your photos are much better than what I recall from SW - would you say your pictures are pretty true of what it looks like in reality? Its been awhile but I remember the SW photos making it look a bit washed out and I wasn't blown away. Conversely. looking at yours, I think it is fantastic. I'm always a sucker for the matching headstock.

WOW WOW WOW Jeff, that's another great blue color!!!!!!! Very, very, very nice indeed.

I've always wanted a blue guitar, but have yet to find the combination for me.

Congrats, Glenn |B)

It's a great question, Racerx. I agree with your reaction. If you take the guitar outside during the day in full daylight, it washes out a little more and looks closer to the SW photos. In other words, they photographed with a LOT of white light. However, in a normally lit room (and I suspect even under stage lights) the color is more like my photos. When it arrived and I opened the case I was like, "Holy sh!t, this is stunning!" It is indeed way better than the SW photos. My photos are pretty accurate, EXCEPT in full harsh white light.

You're killing me here, Jeff. :)

I bought a Sabre in the Pacific Blue Sparkle and wrestled with getting the Luke. You're REALLY making me wish I had. :)

It's so beautiful and your pics are just stunning.

So, jlf599 -- You have a Sabre in Pacific Blue Sparkle. Am I correct that the color is way more stunning than SW's site photos? Aren't mine a closer representation of how awesome this color is?!?

Yup - I have a Sabre in Pacific Blue Sparkle. The color is AMAZING. I've had trouble getting pics of it, too. Yours are the best pics I've seen of the color yet!

This is one of the better pics I've gotten...and it's still NOWHERE as good as yours. Sweetwater needs to get your tips to make their pics look better.
