I own a morse darklord and a bfr blue morse ….. why doesn’t music man use springs to adjust the pickups ? Just curious
There is a piece of rubber tube that drastically limits what adjustments can be made …. Swapped out the tube for springs and now the plexi sounds properDon't all the morse guitars except for the ones with the P90 type pickups have screw adjusted pickup heights? I didn't think any of them were direct mounted, which is why they all have pickguards.
Thank you I appreciate thatI jave no answer except this...
There is no such thing as a dumb question. Do not apologize.![]()
Is that original? I can't see any of that in the Y2D models, which have a transparent top. However I do know a lot of companies that use those for single coils. My G&L guitars all have the rubber tubing, and I think maybe my fender telecaster. In general the Morse guitar pickups are actually designed to be relatively far from the strings when compared to a lot of other pickups. There is a piece of rubber tube that drastically limits what adjustments can be made …. When my clients say "this might be a dumb question . . . " that is exactly my reply, almost.I jave no answer except this...
