How well will a 1930 Ford serve you driiving it today's traffic? At the gas pump?
Progress is just that. It is cool to collect old things but to think they are better than things that outshine them only makes really old folks feel good.
I am old. I like new things that work better. Vintage to me isn't worth a crap.
Model T Fords over heated every 15 minutes. The Model A well.. this just isn't the right forum to go into that but...
My Bongo will also kick some serious P bass ass and I have proven it.

Oh geez. Sorry for having a diversive taste.
You can always get a vintage Fender later on. They are not hard to find these days. On the other hand you have a rare MM as has been pointed out. Keep it. You will regret selling it later...

But they getting harder to afford....![]()
That wouldn't make for a daily player if one spent that kind of money. Well it wouldn't for me any way. The MM is a players bass.

Money IS an issue here. Sure, I could play Ibanez or something and save myself some money and I could still play gigs.
But for reasons stated in the above posts, I work my fanny off and get the money to play the fine EBMM basses I play.
Well, that and my parents decided to be extra generous for my graduation.
EBMM. The sound in your head.![]()
Well if he can get a fender worth 20 grand for his sparkle MM I am not so sure I want to talk him out of it now.
Done went and confused myself.![]()
