My thoughts!

For the sake of conversation, I think the Bongo guitar should be turned into a tele-style guitar. I think that Bongo with two lace sensor tele pickups would be stellar. Mmmm.... Tele.

I think Hiland is crazy for going with a PRS. I doubt a humbucker will EVER match a single coil (especially a Tele) with a push/pull coil tap. I've played lots that have come close, I'll give it that... but never bang on. Hiland just took the biggest offer... just because he wanted to hang out with Santana and Tremonti. Hahahaha.

We should start a lobby for the EBMM Tele-style guitar!!!

I'd buy a bongo guitar, make a good signature model for the likes of....

Vai, Slash (Rich replacement?) Paul Gilbert, Nuno Tenniscourt (only kidding he's amazing!) Joe bonamassa, and Luke Morley from Thunder.

I bet Dweezil has one!?

I was going to say Neil Zaza...but I discovered he already plays EBMM.

Neil Zaza on his EBMM EVH Hard Tail:

This is without a doubt the axe I could never live without. This guitar has been with me for years since I bought it in Scotland when I was on tour over there. It has been on every project, tour, or recording I have done. It has the most amazing sound, feel, neck and slips into sweet harmonic registers naturally without high volume. One of the lightest weight guitars as well. Just about every guitar solo I have done on CD that needed humbucking pickups in the studio has been this one. The holy grail of axes for me.

This is an unfair question as it any answer will change the players sound. Why would you want their sound to change just so they can play EBMM gear? I think its pointless. This question reeks of ugly brand loyalty in my opinion. I want thme to play whatever allows them to give off that sound that I know them for.

For instance, Ryan martinie of Mudvayne should stick with the Warwick Thumb, it is a very unique sound to him and you can tell his playing before you recognize the rest of the band,. SImilarly, Matt Wong of Reel Big Fish shold stick with the Stingray 5. His sound makes him very noticeable to me.

Sorry to crap on peoples parade here, but I think its a bad question overall and calls into question things that would change why we like a particular artist so much.

I disagree. Take for example, Neal Schon. He's played Fender, he's played Gibson, he's played PRS, and in all those recordings, he still sounds like Neal Schon.

Sure there will be a change in sound. But I do not believe there will be a substantial change in sound.

Honestly (and I may get totally berated for this, but don't get me wrong I love EJ and his playing), I think EJ is a bit of a blind loyalist/gear snob. He likes the big names: Fender, Gibson, Marshall, etc.

I know the luthier who does the majority of the work on his guitars when he first buys them (older stuff that needs refrets, etc.) It's Mark Erlewine (Dan Erlewine, of Stew-Mac fame's brother). He told me that Eric has to have a lot of work done to most everything to "modernize" it to play the way he wants.

To me that's silly, why not just buy a guitar that plays good from the get-go? Probably why the whole "vintage" thing never really made sense to me altogether.

I also guess that it's got a lot to do with why he finally settled for a production guitar and designed a signature with Fender.

For Paul Gilbert, EJ, Vai, or Satch, I think will be hard for Musicman to sign them.. I am pretty sure they still going to be in their company until they're die..

But Pete Lesperance? I think there is still a chance..

Ibanez promised Pete Lesperance a signature model, but until now there is no realization of it.. Ibanez just gave him couple of low end model.. I really dissapointed with Ibanez decision..

Harem Scarem still a very active band.. They gonna have a record come out this December.. I am pretty sure for japanese market and Canadian market, Pete Lesperance is famous.. He's also a very good guitar player, no doubt about him..

So please Mr. Sterling.. Sign Pete Lesperance for Musicman..

I'll be the first one who buy it... I promised..
