I have recently moved to a different house, and I am now even closer (geographically) to Brighton Music Center.. the larger of their 2 stores.
I have been a customer of this store for at least 20 years. They are an Ernie Ball dealer, but not MusicMan. I believe they were an MM dealer in the past, because I seem to have a faint memory of seeing the MM EVH guitars on the wall in that store.. (although it may have been the subsequent Wolfgangs).
I stopped in today, and the owner (Jim) happened to be in which is rare because he tends to spend more time at the other location these days. I talked to him about MusicMan guitars and basses and he actually seemed interested. He doesn't really carry any guitars in the MM price point, and I know it's a struggle for him to have guitars in this price range hanging out in inventory for any length of time. I mentioned this subject to him a few years ago when I was in the market for my Petrucci and he didn't seem as receptive. I told him about the Dargie Delight's and mentioned that I have a Bongo on order.
Next I offered to bring some of my MM guitars down for him to check out, and told him a little about the forum. So, I hope I can work it a bit and maybe get him to look into carrying MM instruments. I also described the upcoming Wah pedal and talked up the EB Guitar Polish since I was buying his only remaining bottle.
Jim's a real stand-up guy, and I hope if he's going to NAMM I can convince him to stop over at the EBMM booth and check out your latest MM masterpieces. I would only be too happy to surrender my hard-earned cash to him for future MM purchases!
Thanks for reading.
