Keep in mind that the BFR models will change quite often....

What kind of changes will be made in the future? I assume colors, but will other features like drastic design changes, inlays, features and binding be changed too? If its more than just color changes, I'll always be scared to make a purchase, fearing that merely a week later a newer JP BFR will be released :(

Please say just new color additions, then I can buy my F1 Blackburst with peace in mind.

He believes that there are better things he can spend our money on at the moment rather such a frivolous item as a guitar

Hey people

Trev here....

I just want to state...."for the record" that I would never say that about a EBMM guitar....other brands...maybe :D

I would sell my own mother to get an Albert Lee....(I really would)

and now I know Azzys plan too...Ha ha....She is a sweetie...Awwwwww i hear you say :)

Actually JP requested that we not produce the color as he thinks it is too stodgy. WE decided to simplify and offer the same four colors for both the Lukes and Jp F-1. Also on the heels of the sil20th we didnt want to produce a ltd or bfr that too closely resemble the 20th's

Keep in mind that the BFR models will change quite often....

Do I have to understand that I can never have this sunburst colour? Or that if I am patient some years, the time when the production of the Silo 20th anniversary is ended, I risk to have the chance to be able to have this colour?

I think that I am going to make my choice for a 7 strings Bahama Blueburst by the awaiting to see if it is going to have the release of 6 strings in sunburst color.

I think the context in which he was posting was addressing people's comments about lack of color options...

The time for production of the 20th Anniversary Silhouette has already ended.

I think the only way you'll ever see that particular burst offered is if John Petrucci himself gives the go-ahead. That's generally the way the artist models are handled at EBMM.. whatever the artist wants, they get!

It's GOOD to be an EBMM signature artist! :)

lpcoco,

Thanks for the compliment about my avatar. I love the look of that guitar!

I should clarify my earlier post. The time for ordering 20th Anniversary Silhouette has ended, but the factory may not have produced all of the ones that were ordered yet. I hope not, for the sake of Sigmund's Couch.. who is still eagerly awaiting his 20th Silo!;)

Okay so far, I have a question;

The JP F-1 will be released as a part of the BFR!?
So it will be available in 4 different colors and a quilted or flamed top!?

In addition there will be released a "standard" JP F-1 Model?
If that´s correct, where are the differences between the standard one and the BFR one?

The F1 is a BFR... 4 colors, quilted or flamed top.

I thought that it was already answered... Mahogony necks have to have some sort of finish on them... I know I can't think of a guitar that has ever had an unfinished Mahogony neck anyway.

It won't feel any different than the Ibanez JPM did once the satin was worn smooth really. It doesn't seem all that shocking to me I guess.

Gosh, I just can't wait to hear one... When JP brings out the proto on Score, you can litterally hear the differnece... but now that it has a mahog neck... I really wonder how it will sound.

Oh, I hadn't read that. I didn't even realize the neck was mahogany. I love the prototype's tone. I was at the Radio City show when he brought it out and the tone is defintely more vintage than normal. But that one had different pups than the F-1.

Dammit! I don't know if I'd rather have a LE or a BFR....
