Wow, Awsome videos, i had never seen those before.
nope, BP has an impressive collection of amps...I'm gonna guess, though, that he brought his own amp. (?)

the song is called "sometimes I feel like screaming" . I love this song, IMO it is the best Deep Purple with Steve song
I love the part before the harmonics- the tone and then the vol control swells. Some really nice stuff in there.
The Flash files aren't streamed, they're downloaded and so are in your cached Internet files directory. If you know what you're doing, just watch them then go to that directory and sort by date or size, presto .flv files. The drawback is you need an FLV player to watch them (there are a bunch, Google them). There are also a few applications that will let you download FLV files from your browser and rip them out of the embedded .swf player.
Then you can use a program like MediaCoder (free) to transcode to any format you like. For figuring out parts I demux (rip out) the audio and convert to .mp3. Finally, you can use a program like Ronimusic's "Amazing Slow Downer" to loop sections within the mp3s and slow them down or change pitch. Makes figuring stuff out a breeze.
I know that sounds like a bit of a pain but it's worth getting the hang of
Here's that vid transcoded to mpeg. (Right-click and "save as".)
it's not the amp achieveing the sound.......it's steve's hands & guitar. he can get that sound from a pignose.....![]()
Does Steve's personal guitar have any extra toggles?

Sorry, but if those questions haven't beend answered yet (the thread is almost half a year old), it probably won't. Take into consideration that the vids were shot in 2005 and only the people in that room know and I'm pretty damn sure they are busy folks.
