I bought my Stingray my junior year in high school after a long summer of working 2 jobs. You can imagine how proud I am of that bass...

call me a peace loving hippy, but... i wouldnt have thought that asking for a free stingray warrants death by (no less) a stingray.

sure its a scabby thing to ask, but i can think of a lot of other things more worthy of an exotic execution...

but then again, i might just be a peace loving hippy :D

Ibanez the international nature of this forum is really interesting. A death by Stingray joke has a slight chance of being funny elsewhere but never in Australia where the man was a national treasure and hero.
The other side of the international part is that this man is from Hungary and I think that he was kidding. One thing that keeps the knickers from getting bunched is to first assume that posts like this are ill translated attempts at bonding for a newbie.

My jokes go over particularly well when translated to Hungarian. Example of a hungarian reaction to my dry translated posts......." Oh.....no....Poppa....you didnt really make those words....you are too many...you are slaughtering innocent people...I need a cold beer"

This is funny ... I think I've paid for three basses in my life, but I've had more than ten. There was one 97 Jazz bass that was traded for a Warwick, that was traded for an Alembic, that was traded for another Warwick, that was traded for ol' Honey. Gotta stretch the dollars, people - like that guy who started with a bottlecap and traded up to a house or something ... anyone else remember that?
