Not that I am one to complain, but why is it when you go to Guitar Center, you have no trouble finding EBMM Basses, but can never find any Guitars?
This evening I took my friend to pick up his car which was oddly enough a block away from the Guitar Center in Redondo Beach, CA. So I stopped in and noticed that there were 7 EBMM Basses - mostly SR4 with one SR5, a Sterling and a Bongo. However there were no MM guitars. In fact, I haven't seen a MM guitar there in at least 2 years. OK, it's not like I go every month, but I do stop by from time to time. They used to have Lukes and JPs in stock... but not anymore for some reason.
I talked to one of the sales guys and they said that Music Man is basically a custom house, so we don't keep anything in stock. But what about the basses?
Anyway, I am not complaining, just commenting. The Stingray is a damn fine instrument (mine comes in tomorrow - yeah!
), so I can see why they are so popular. However, I just think it would just be nice to try out a guitar amplifier without having to use a Stratocaster.
