It's understandable to be upset when your #1 guitar needs some fixin'. But Ernie Ball/Music Man is a great company and they'll give you a fair shake (perhaps more if you keep your cool). You've got the attention of the top guy right now... you think that would happen at Fender?
Anyway, it's not just the JP model.. all of their guitars have a one year warranty to the original purchaser. There's no fee you can pay to extend that warranty.
