Currently I use one of my JP's or my Hamers into an F30 combo with a 1x12 Mesa Theile extention cab.

I'm in the process of getting a Triaxis that will run to a Gmajor, ADA poweramp. into 2 1x12 Mesa Theiles. I tried a Marshall JMP1 and both the band and I didn't think this was cutting it. I used a JMP1 for years, bit this time around, no go. Too used to the mesa crunch and the Triaxis nails it, and is flexible too.

Well, my gear list is a pretty short affair as well, to be quite honest - but I am very happy with it!

PC270043.jpg

That's a Diezel VH-4s (the best sounding amp I've ever heard) paired with a Lee Jackson 4x12 (with Lee Jackson's custom Eminence speakers... I don't know what I'll do if I ever blow a speaker - I'm addicted to these things!). I never use the delay pedal that I have in the loop of my lead channel - but it glows with such a lovely green light that I just have to keep feeding it 9v batteries ;)
I control the goings on with an Engl Z12 - it's simple as hell, but does the job quite nicely!

My guitars... I know... there's not a Ball in sight as I managed to sell my JP in a fit of insanity (aka Stratitis). I thought I'd just get another... but then came fatherhood and more expenses than I ever thought possible. However, I hope to add a JP7 to my very moderate collection within the next year - I caught the 7-string bug, you see.

Cheers

hey Pablo, is that a Gibson HB in your HSS Strat? How does it sound?
It's actually a DiMarzio Air Classic with a chrome cover (pimp-my-axe-style) and it sounds awesome! That's the good thing about a Strat - you're never scared to take a router to it (unlike the American Strat, the Yngwie is routed SSS) - so that's what I did! Together with the Virtual PAF, the Air Classic is one of my favourite humbuckers it's simply so sweet and defined at the same time... I guess I just have a soft spot for moderately low output PUs ;)

Cheers

Hows the XT live? Pictures? What kind of setup are you working with? Sorry I'm nosey.

It's a cool tool for sure. I run it's outputs into my M-Audio 2496 card for recording or into a Carvin DCM600 power amp and cabinet for playing out loud. The patches need to be tweaked for each use but it has so much stuff in it. It's alot of fun and sounds good too.

What are you using the Carvin power amp for?

Dave
The SS Power Amp is part of my backup rig, or wet/dry rig if I feel like hooking it up. The backup is a Tonelab, controlled by the FCB 1010, then into the DCM 150, and out to the Avatar. I setup the patches in the Tonelab to mimic my main rig so I use the foot controller exactly the same way.

Very smart idea. I keep a Digitech RP-2000 and Peavey Classic 120/120 power amp as a backup.. similar idea but not as well thought out as yours.

As noted in my signature list, I use a Line 6 Flextone III XL - plenty loud enough, and with the floorboard, I avoid the snakes nest of cables and various foot pedals I used to have. No more hassles with wall warts or batteries, and just about as flexible as I could possibly want it to be. I've been down the Marshall road (JCM800s, a Bluesbreaker [read - BACK breaker], and even a Silver Jubilee 25/50 head), Fender (Twin, Deluxe), and Peavey (Classis 50 4X10 Tweed), but nothing offered the sounds and spared my back quite like the Line 6.

I used to use this rig:

And I am so glad I do not have to lug that lot about anymore! Like you, my back thanks me!

Line 6 make such good stuff, and people are so keen to bash them as they are not 'toob' !

I don't like mine 'cause it causes my neck pickup's lead tone to turn to fuzz after 2 seconds. I've messed with the eq so many times, too...Oh well, gotta get a cabinet to feel/hear the tube difference. Line 6, however, their pedals I've used are sweet; very user-friendly and sound great.

Cool. I have a DCM600 and use it the same way with my Tonelab or POD Live.

Not a bad idea - my backup is a Behringer V-Amp2 going straight to the PA.

Main guitar: EBMM JP7 -> custom-made stereo cable (Canare L-4E6S cable with Neutrik connectors) to split magnetic and piezo signals as follows:

Is this a Y cable? I mean, it start as 1 cable and then split for 2?
Or you are using the Music Man Splitter Box(or how it's called)?
