I sure love my 30th. It's going to its first gig tonight. But I have a question. Is the pickup and preamp exactly the same as off-the-shelf Stingrays, or have those also been specially enhanced in some way?
It is a crappy picture I know
This is possibly the best description of any instrument ever!!! Sir, thou art a poet!
Hi guys,![]()
I'm new to the forum but not new to bass playing.
I need a little bit of help and advice. I've used Stingrays in the past, too many years ago to admit to and I'm going back to one. I have the chance to buy a Stingray 4 30th anni, new. Can you guys tell me what the difference, in your opinions, in tone is, i.e. is the SR4 30th anni more mellow and rounded than a standard SR4 with 1H or does it have more bite and attack. What difference do the mahogany and thru-body strings make? The reason I'm asking is I can't try the 2 basses side-by-side in the same shop, and can't carry the sound in my head between the 2 shops!
Afterall I'm a female bass player!!!!!!![]()
Thanks, Anelka.
