Bass Central Rules!

I lived in Central Florida for many years before I discovered the little slice of heaven known as "Bass Central" was only an hour's drive away!

I recall when I purchased my Sterling and was debating what color to get. I finally decided on the Trans Orange. From the other side of the room I hear "Great choice! Obviously you have fine taste in basses!"

...it was Dave LaRue. He even pulled his Sterling out of the case to show me the clear pickguard he had installed to show off even more of that sweet wood grain!

...So now I kind of look like him...if I could only PLAY like him! :rolleyes:

Anyhoo, BC is a great store and Beaver, Dave, Grasshopper, et al are a great bunch of guys! Glad you could join us, Beaver! Welcome aboard!

Threads like these makes me wish I lived in the U.S. The city I live in has three shops that sells basses and guitars. Total amount of EBMM basses: One SR 4-string. It's black.:(
I'm really glad I'm a member of this forum though. Because of it I've gotten a SR and a Silo from forum-members in less than a year.:)
Sorry for the hijack, guys.:eek:

Welcome, Beaver!!:) Your store looks great!!!:)

He went through a lot of basses after they got a deal. Most commonly seen playing a Vigier. I saw him live back in the 90s with Ellis, Beggs and Howard. He was using a Warwick Thumb 5. Very good bass player.

Yes, Nick's Beggs has been thru a bunch of basses and many were endorsement items. However, I've been in touch with him lately and he still favors and returns to the original SR4, same one he recorded those early hits with I suspect. I think he used it on their recent stuff....

As such, and given his ongoing visibility, I wish Sterling and the guys at EB/MM would consider him for an Artist/User deal.

Can you say, "Hint"? I just think he'd be a good representative of the line.

Hwey, Beaver Felton, you annoy my band members;)
Well, technically it's a thing I learnt from a superchops video, and it's not even taught:)
Sometimes Beaver does a little drum roll on the strings in between two parts of the video, and well that's the only thing from that video I have mastered properly:p
And it is not well liked by my fellow band members, not when performed on a Bongo anyway:p

Real cool to have you here, o maker of impossible videos:D

Thanx for the welcome, but please don't get fired for doing any of my "Stupid Bass Tricks" (humorous reference)!
For the record, I don't really mean to imply that they're stupid, since what you do with anything learned from myself can be used musically or not so musically, I guess, like most stuff.....

Keep working on the video and you can't help but extract some useful ideas and/or patterns.

*I’ll be converting all 7 “Superchops 4 Bass” video lessons to DVD this year. Maybe even add some new stuff, which I'll refer to as "Not-So-Stupid Bass Tricks"... …..

1/2 price for any MM Forum members.

Thanx,
BF

Short Story Maybe Not PG Rated....

Sterling,
Hello!
Yes, I'll hang around a bit from here out. Oh, I've got road stories, 'just not sure if they're appropriate for the forum. I'll try to come up with some that are.......

Beaver Felton

Although humorous, I'm not sure if all to follow are OK on the Forum, but for you guys who requested Road Stories:

Here's a quick "guide" to how we used to refer to various cities in FL:

Daytona=Playtona
Ft. Lauderdale=Ft. LauderTale
Tampa=Tampon.
Tarpon Springs=Tampon Springs.
Orlando=Whorelando
Deland=Deadland
Jacksonville=Jacksoffville.
St. Petersburg=St. Penisburg
Ft. Meyers=Ft. Liars
Panama City=Panties Off Ma City.
Clearwater Beach=Clearwater Bitch

And so on....

*I'll tell you about "3 Frank Crew" (derived from Rap Artists "2 Live Crew") another time....

I do understand and you're up way too early!

S, thanx for the feedback. 'Totally Understood to all the above.
*I've been thru a zillion endorsements, know how they work, and always honored my end of the deal.

*I actually suggested this to Nick, who sent resume/credits to someone in the USA in charge of AR. I think he was directed to your UK distributor, but not sure if he got anywhere. Nick isn't hurting for basses or after freebies/great deals for the sake off it. However, he has mentioned that he always goes back to the SR4, hence my input.....He may or may not be into an exclusive thing, which is probably a requirement.....

YES, Free Lunch!

Absolutely! Whenever you visit!

*FTR, I was joking about the password phrase, of course.
No purchase required. I treat the entire staff to lunch every Friday (have done so for many years), and if an out of towner visits any day of the week, he receives the same offer from me!

Will be driving to Walt Disney in August for our Anniversary with the 3 horrors..I mean children.
I have talked the wife into detouring on the way back home to get another Bass for my anniversary.
I am in the mood for a Stringray 4, maybe even custom (will need to plan ahead for that one). :cool:
