lmao, I just read Maddox's 'review' for the iPhone. Gave me a good laugh

I hope I never need a cell phone because I can't stand them :(

I have had pretty bad luck with iPods. I have sent 3 back for repair, and have lost two of them. I keep buying them, though...

I wonder about the durability of the iPhone, especially if it gets the least bit wet.

Word to the wise, buy a shock-proofing case for your iPod! Those things are like little mini computers made out of eggshells! Mine died recently, I got this on my screen, I think the poor guy's dead for good. Took a big tumble in my hubby's LAV one day out in the field. :( :( :(

I think you and Koog's are the only ones who know what the heck a LAV is???

"We've got charlie all over the place......and my LAV packs are running low!!! MRE's are totally gone...and the EKG(ha,ha,ha) isn't working properly. Someone tell GWB to send us some more LAV's and MRE's if he expects us to win ASAP! Otherwise I'm going to be LMAO as my SRG is MIA looking for more MRE's"

same here.....

I received an iphone from the owner of my company last week as a thank you gift. I couldn't get it to connect properly and sync with email, address book and within 48 hours of receiving noticed it developed a chip/crack at the edge and it later died. The only apple "i" item I have had great luck with is the shuffle ipod...latest version with a clip. While running I have dropped it, kicked it, had it trampled during a race and had to recently retrieve it down a storm sewer on a city street. Thing is still working wonderfully-just wish they made an arm band for.

Beth this is referred to as the sad ipod. These can be fixed I do believe, there are loads of websites that talk about how to fix this problem. I don't have any bookmarked, but just do a google search on sad ipods.

Verizon takes away phones' functionality and charges for those same services and features. I wouldn't be surprised if it was just because it was a Verizon phone. verizon ewww

A an Apple Fan I am disappointed and disgusted with the Iphone. I bought one for my wife and set it up and it works fine for her. She will never use all that i has to offer.

I didnt open the box for mine because the first thing I discovered is that Isync doesnt support the Blackberry pearl which is my data device and a razr is my phone....It doesnt support the Razr either. SO I had to download a $39 third party blackberry syncing program, but still cant transfer my contacts to my mac for migration to the iphone. I have Phatty on his for me. Thank s a bunch. To make matters worse this Razr was just temporary with the 30 day return because my last one got destroyed ( a phone lasts me about 6 months....) and the ATT guy transferred my stuff to the phones memory instead of the sim card and there is no way to transer at the local Att store..so my options from att is to transfer the contacts manually...not going to do that

Not the biggie....I cant use my mail.ernieball.com acct. With my pearl it gives me my personal and work email. Apple is saying that they dont care about business and dont want it to work for business but this is rude with a $600. price tag.

Mine is still unopened I have read many blogs that are very critical too. I couldnt be more unsatisfied with apple and the whole buying process.

THey have an opportunity to be the first handset maker that dominates in all of your lifes needs Music communication device control and they just did about 70% job of design and 100% hype

And because you didn't open the box, all of a sudden, you are the opinionated expert?

Sorry, not too seem too critical, but I have been very very happy with mine. Any Imap/POP account works flawlessly with the iPhone - feel free to ask me more, if you need help to get it working your mail servers. I also am easily, better than any other device I have had, browser the Internet, store contacts, etc.

My biggest complaints are things I think will be addressed in software updates - movie capabilities for instance.
