Last winter, I met a guy who just moved to the Twin Cities who got a job at Guitar Center. We have really similar interests in music and gear and it was cool to come in and see him working and shoot the breeze. Well today, I bought the most expensive music gear purchase in my entire life. And even though it was the most expensive (especially as a working, college attending, musician) I got a great deal and he made the entire process so painless. Even the financing stuff that I don't really know a whole lot about. I love small guitar stores and I still frequent the ones I always frequent, but I've never made a friend at one, and I've never been treated like a Rock Star when it came to the expensive stuff. But that's exactly what happened.
I was wondering if maybe Uncle Marty or any of you higher ups could find some way to pass down some executive thanks for the kind of work that one of your employees is doing. I don't know that there is an outlet to do this as a customer, and I would feel kind of weird saying so to his manager or something. I just mean that people rarely go out of their way to do good in the world (and you can say money and a job was involved, but being nice about it certainly isn't always part of that equation). If you could say thanks, from me anonymously, it maybe could help his managers better appreciate his work and I'd be very grateful for the opportunity. I only am posting this because I know Marty and some GC top dogs post here from time to time.
I can email you his name and store if you email me at ndleners at gmail.com. If you can help that would be awesome, and thanks.
