Hmmm... It seems that it's from China...

Rule of thumb on online shopping: don't buy anything from China...

I've not experienced it myself but I rather suspect that this would come under that ebay heading:

"China Guitar Scam"

However I could of course be wrong

<in a vegas lets get ready to rumble style!>

That pic was taken from an eBay auciton for some shop in Germany selling a LTD2007 Luke....

I have a few customers who've done the whole china scam they actually still get a guitar, but it's NOT genuine product by any stretch.

Then there's the oceanfront property . . . in Arizona . . .
That's Lex Luthers plan

That is disgusting and impertinent.

Really? They are producing a product? I thought the scam stopped when they took your money. Learn something new every day. If it didn't support bogusness I'd like to try one.

Dodgy is a good word for it. It's really too bad that good people like BP have to put up with crap like that and can't do anything about it.

Nigma, are you working for DHGate ????

It's funny : this thread is from 2007 and is resurrected by the first post of a new user ...
The guys from DHGate are googling "DHGate" and they made some advertisement on the forums where the name DHGate appears ...

For your information : all Music Man are made in the US, not in China. We have no interest in cheap illegal copies ...

Although counterfeit, these guitars are sometimes entertaining. I've seen an Axis copy with the logo ASIS. I would love to see a vid of the customs guys openning a container full of these guitars and putting them through a branch grinder.

Dean if it looks to good to be true...... These Chinese made copies have really gotten out of hand and a lot of them even have real serial numbers. I still dont understand how Paypal lets there service be used as they are counterfeit plain and simple. You would not see Paypal covering counterfeit currency transactions, as the Feds would be kicking down the door and they would be nailed with about 27 counts of conspiracy charges.

If the Feds made guitars, they would be nailed in no time. But they make money, so best not to mess with that.

It's the same for cigarettes and booze in Canada (which are "controlled" - read taxed to the hilt for profit). You wanna see some wrath? Try selling illegal (duty free) smokes or booze up here. They are not nearly as concerned about policing anything else.
