Looks like I'm going to eating chili for lunch the next few days.

I'm just discovering MM guitars now. It seems that not too many players have figured out how great they are. I almost feel like I've stumbled in on some inside secret.

Same here. I remember back in 89 and seeing Keith Richards playing a white Silo and saying it was such a classic guitar that is up there with the tele and the strat. I never thought after owning everything from Les Pauls, teles, strats, sg that I would sell everything. EBMM just feels so right to me. Everything else does not feel right to me anymore.

Amen. When I was younger, my fantasy was to own a collection of Les Pauls, Strats and Teles...that fantasy was destroyed forever by a single Luke!

Right you are David. I've sold off almost all my other guitars. I want to be EBMM exclusive. What time is it there in Australia?

It's 12:00pm Melbourne time...lunch time!

I confess I still have some Ibanez guitars...but I'm hanging on to them for sentimental reasons (we've been through a lot together! :D ) ... and the kids can use them until I can afford Lukes for them all! But it's going to be EBMM here from now on.

Its so funny too because I was wondering why I loved my EVH so much, why it just fit. Then after reading BP`s comments on how Dudley designed it to be kind of a combo of a tele and a les paul which really were my fav two guitars for the last 20 years. I am now all about the EBMM guitars. Next for me is a Luke I think, I am doing a lot of Pink Floyd/quack tones lately. I am also drooling over an Albert Lee. I think what I really need to do is visit a dealer and put them both in my hands and let my my heart and ears be the judge. God I love talking about EBMM LOL

haha, i know what you mean. I 've owned many guitars, but never got excited about them like i do with my Luke. I have Silo Special on order and the hardest part is waiting for it. (late February)

I too have never had the excitement over getting a Luke since I bought my first Strat in 1976.

How is the Luke for Strat style tones?

For my purposes, it's close enough. Pickup positions 3, 4 and 5 are very Strat-like, with pos 4 allowing me to get close to a Mark Knopfler Sultans-of-Swing kind of thing. Some people claim the EMGs make it like a Strat on steroids...it then becomes a bit subjective.
