Serial Numbers : What is the production date of my guitar?

I have a nice tight red quilt axis, SN 88745.

Tweed, this was completed on 12/26/96 and was originally shipped to the fine staff at Imperial Guitars in Newburgh, New York. The first year of the Axis! nice ....

On the bass side there's a similar thread, you can ask for a DOB of your SR5 there.

The serial numbers are completely random. They're put in place in a "whatever's on the top of the pile" fashion.

Someone from EB will get your request on Monday. They're closed on the weekend.
