This is really Chewie posting these pics for BP.

BP will be back a little later to comment and give the details on these classics.

OK This is a very special bass made for Randy Jackson when he was in Journey. This is a masterpiece by Dudley...this is the same era as the pink and white polka dot and the one covered in pennies.

keith_richards_silo.jpeg

THis was sent to me by keith because he loved the Silo so much. We lost him as an endorsee on guitars because of a new guitar tech....he still uses the strings. To show you how little I thought of it it was on a corkboard in the factory with a pushpin...Im framing i and taking it home....

HEre is the first protos of the evh that is Dudley Mike Guhrie and EVH and I in the shot. I am jokingly paying EVH off. I have so much stuff from this deal that I am reluctant to post because I dont want to start the BS. I will continue if the comments are considerate.

Remember when I told you that Leo was hard of hearing and that he would make you put a screw driver on the bridge and then press in one your hard ear cartiledge and then strike the string and feel the vibrations? That was Leo showing Louis Johnson that trick......

All of these are awesome photos, thank you, Pops!

I can't believe how much you look like Tomas in this picture, what a trip!

The shorts/shirt in this picture and the first one in this thread can't possibly be the same, can they? :)

Very cool pics.

I personally have nothing but respect and admiration for EVH. He'll always remain one of THE greatest, most innovative & influential guitar heroes ever. When I was younger, my mother and I used to playfully argue about who was "better" - EVH or Clapton. "Don't you know that 'Clapton is God'?", she would say (referring to that famous photo of spray-painted graffiti to that effect)? To which I'd reply, "Oh yeah? Then Eddie Van Halen is Jesus Christ". =P

Awesome photos. Thanks again for letting us take a peak into your world.

I'd really like to read more about why you lost Keith Richards as an endorsee because of a new guitar tech. If you're willing to share the story.
