Completed March, 1996; Honeyburst finish, rosewood fretboard, black p/g, 3-band EQ.
My 4-string of choice!

fyziqs, very cool - actually Premiere Music was literally down the street and around the corner from us. When the owner died, that was it for those guys. Your bass was completed on 4/18/96 and is Sunburst (now called Honeyburst) rosewood. Nice!

Welcome to the Forum.

No official data exists for the Pre-EB Basses. However, on my reckoning, your Bass should be dated 1983 on the heel of the neck.

banjo, yes, your passive SUB 4 (though since it was the first one, we just called it the SUB) was completed on 12/30/03.

oli, nice find! This StingRay 20th Anniversary bass was completed on 5/31/96 and was shipped to Rockin' Robin Guitars in Houston. There were about 1250 of these basses made.

Your StingRay 5 was completed on 9/11/07 and was shipped to Palen Music Center in Springfield, Missouri.
