Wow, a 4 humbucker title.
Question for you guys, for anyone who has both an SR4 H and HH, or who otherwise just knows the answer. I don't have a single H on hand at the moment, so can't check this out myself.
Is the bridge H on the SR4 HH in exactly the same position of the pup on the single H? I had just assumed it would be closer to the bridge on the HH, but if I'm not mistaken, in photos it looks like it's in exactly the same position.
Since I was assuming it's closer to the bridge on the HH, I was also assuming that was accounting for the difference I was hearing between my Ash/Maple single H's of the past, and my LE SR4 HH/Maple when in the first/bridge-pup-only position (setting the eq/tone controls set the same). I've been having to cut the onboard treble just a touch more to get the HH to sound the same. But if the pup is in the same spot ... then that's another incorrect assumption.
Now I'm thinking it's most likely the case that I used to cut the treble on my amp more than I do now, causing me to cut it onboard more than I used to.
So, if someone could confirm those pup positions, I'd be forever in your debt. Ok, that's a bit of an exaggeration, but I'd appreciate it alot, for real!
