Snazzy. This is probably a stupid question but can strap locks remain on when you put your bass back in its HSC, or are they too big?

I was never able to with the Dunlops, so I don't think it would work with the EBs either.

How do the strap lock buttons look without the lock on it? Hopefully not the long weird pin's Schallers have... :)

It's almost the same as the stock buttons, but the part that extends past the strap slot is a little thicker (not in diameter).

How easy are these to install? I've never used strap locks before and want to get a couple of sets.

Are they female-blonde proof? :D

Super simple. I think the only thing you would have to worry about is cross-threading the strap-button screws...and you would have to be pretty blonde to do that.:D

I just got a set of EB strap locks that my wonderful wife ordered for me for Fathers Day from Pete DuBaldo's place.

I installed them on my JP6, but noticed one thing: now when I try to replace the guitar in its EBMM case with the strap and locks still attached, the guitar is just a bit too big to fit in the body cavity.

Did anybody else have this happen, or did I install something wrong? I ended up disconnecting one end of the strap and then things fit... but I would really prefer to keep everything connected while storing.

What has been anybody else's experience?

Same here, but it was the same story when I had Dunlops on it. Just take the strap off before you put it in the case.

Why should one leave the strap on when storing the instrument in the case?
Take it off and put it in the wonderful compartment of your OHSC! :D

Those straplocks sound cool, i hate the clip on the dunlops too, i've found pliers are safer than a screwdriver though just FYI ;) might invest in some EB locks on my next bass or if my dunlops fail.

Man, I would have ordered these with the other hardware I got if knew about them. Can we order through the local dealers?
