The way I see it, is that you can spend the money on a regular JP6 and not be a hundred percent happy knowing that you wanted a BFR. Or, you could buy the BFR, spend the thousand or whatever more and actually be happy. You only live once. Money is meant to be spent.

And I agree with everything except I actually need money to be able to spent :D

GET A BFR.

What Tim is saying is...you can't take it with you...seriously...get the BFR.

I actually have a whiteboard on my wall that has al of my bills written out. From there I write out the things I buy on a regular basis like food and fresh undies. Then I think to myself "do I REALLY need undies this month?" and generally put that money toward the new thing I want to buy.

There's always money and payment plans and credit cards. It just depends on how much you want the guitar. Hell, if I had some extra bling I'd throw it your way.

You won't regret the large purchase. I am fairly confident in that.

Thanks I appreciate the support. The good thing is that things are looking alright in our future. We should be able to pay some bills. We are going to graduate in a year and a half.

I am going to try my best to get the BFR, I am deeply in love with the quilt top I posted

I am working a job where I don't get paid nearly enough. I am barely affording my bills. However, I always have a little room to spend more. I am planning on buying the BFR and a Mesa/Boogie Lone Star combo by the end of the year. I can't afford pissing away four thousand dollars on it, but you know what? I want it and won't be happy until I get it. I deserve little treats like this. I bet you probably do too. Go without fancy golf clubs or cut back on the expensive brand of noodles. Make the necessary effort, and get the damned BFR. Sterling would say the same thing. Actually, he'd probably tell you to buy two. Hahaha.

BOTTOM LINE: This is what we've been waiting for. We've been given the opportunity to own the best left handed guitar ever. Scott will agree with me. Hell, we can ALL agree.

Tim...your hammering the poor guy...he knows! :D

He just needs to be smart about it, and he will find a way.

Okay, I'll lay off now. He does know. It'll work out. We're all part of the LHJP6 Club. We'll make it work out.

I agree with Brasco, I do not want to set myself to the point of no return. I believe I do deserve this awesome treat. Being a full-time student is a pain in the butt and it's hard to make any sort of significant money.

I don't know when they will be available but I don't think it will be anytime soon. This will give me time to save up and make any money possible.

Edit: I am leaning more towards the BFR (fiancee is supporting the idea)

My best friend is the financing option at the local music store. I got in with only twenty percent down, and pay off the rest over the course of a year. That way I get to take my baby home right away, but don't have to save up a small fortune to purchase said instrument. Doesn't Guitar Center offer something like this down in the States? I really have no idea, but know it would be a good thing to look into. It's how I'm going to afford my BFR and Lone Star...

I tell my wife that all the time!

Borrowing is soooooo passe.

I'm devising a bank heist in order to afford all the MM's I want. It's way cooler than "borrowing". Pfffft. Amateurs.
