Thanks Dan. And one (yea right!) more Q perhaps. ..on a Sterling with a "Natural" finish is there a "matching headstock" option or is there another treatment to the headstock, or just 'plain'

John.

There is a MHS option for "Natural". A "Natural" MHS headstock has a shiny finish just like the body. A non-MHS headstock is just "plain".

Hi Dan, I bought a fretless Sterling bass off a forum about 3 months ago. Natural finish ash body, maple neck with pao ferro fretboard. Comes with piezo option. Would appreciate if you can date it for me. Thanks! SerialNo F04997.

John,

there is a matching headstock option, even on the Natural finish, because some people like their headstock glossy (to match the body) instead of the standard matte finish. However, most folks who buy a Natural finish are happy with the standard headstock.

Thanks for the info Dan.

This (dom 12/2001) unlined fretless - Natural / Matching Headstock / Black Pearloid (swapped out the balck) is a BLAST...esp through the SVT-VR.

It has been 'detailed' to bring out the wood grain and birdseeye on the neck and headstock and a new set of F'der flats......now I need to see about a new lesson or three....

John.

Bootroo, sorry about being slow in getting back to you. Your bass was built on 02/08/07 and was shipped to Roseville Music Center in Lancaster, PA.

Tell me more about its Lava Pearl goodness! I can't believe more people aren't into this color.

Bob, it is hard to believe - it is a gorgeous color - but this color is actually going away due to low sales. Orders are being taken until the 15th of this month and that's it. Some cool new colors are coming out though.

Yours was completed on 12/13/06 and was shipped to Perfect Bass. We show it having a solid maple neck, a matching headstock, and a white ice pickguard. Nice!

I "settled" for the Lava Pearl over a Candy Apple Red because one, I'd never heard of Lava Pearl, and two, it gave the bass the uniqueness I was looking for. It is sad to see it go, but there are some flippin' sweeeeet new colors coming out. Thanks, 5'er!

Riccardo, your bass was completed on Oct 16 2007. There were about 55 SR5's built in this configuration that were shipped out - about 60% were rosewood, the rest maple. No fretlesses.

Thank you Dan for your response.
Does it mean that this is my Stingray's 1st anniversary today ? Or was it on February the 8th ?

Hi EB Customer Service,

Can you tell me about my new bass, serial # 26089. If you have original finish & pickguard info, that would be great.

Gracias
