I recently purchased a Sub 1 guitar and I love it. I have 3 amp setups that i go through. Mesa Boogie w/ a 2 x 12. Tubeworks w/ a 1 x 12. finally and Ampeg Super Jet. I just am not getting moved by the Ampeg. Everything else sounds great. Anyone use an Ampeg in their arsenal? Any tips that I can try to get better sound? Thanks Frank

Anyone plays their MM through a Fender?

I'm about to buy a Fender Twin-Amp to accompany my 72 RI strat for some blues, I wonder if it will complement my JP.

Diezel Einstein 100 head all the way :D

...thru 1973 Hiwatt cabinet with Fane speakers and 1983 Marshall cab with G12T-75s.

As a combo: Peavey Bravo 112 from 1993, upgraded with better tubes and a Celestion Vintage 30.

Practice at home + recording: Native Instruments Guitar Rig 3 LE...

Never played my Balls through a Fender amp, but would love to try :)

I alternate between my Genz Benz Black Pearl and my Reverend Kingsnake combos.

Both great amps, that take pedals well also.

Man - I feel so lazy! A couple of years ago it got to the point where we do so many gigs that I really couldn't carry my Hughes and Kettner combo around any more as it's just to damned heavy!

So as I still use my old Boss GT-5, I just bought a couple of Ultra-G 4x12 simulators for £25 each (essentially a DI box for guitars) and run one out of left and one out of right to the desk and pan it either side..........a truly awesome sound and I've never carried an amp since, no uncontrollable feedback, zero-noise and just great distortion and clean sounds! When we rehearse, I'll sometime use the in-house kit and plugging my board into a (for argument sake) a Marshall stack...there is no comparison.....the stack will sound harsh - but DI'd via the boxes sounds really warm and thick......

Pretty sure this doesn't help you at all...sorry ;o)

Eventually I'll get a Mesa Stiletto or something like that, but for now - this is ideal!

I have boogies too. Studio pre 50/ 50 power. I also have a low power Dallas Arbiter valve amp and a 1974 Hiwatt Dr103. The Hiwatt is my Favorite. Best built , best tone. The boogies are more versatile ,The Hiwatt has best base tone.Just add pedals to flavour.
