Jim, I am sure it is one of the last, if not the last - it was built on 10/16/08. Sent to Dave's Guitar Shop in La Crosse, Wisconsin.

marantz, your SSS Silhouette was completed on May 20 1990 and was shipped to the U.K. Color is not listed, only as "Special," which I am guessing means either Seafoam Green or Salmon/Peach. Am I right?

karkog, this Silhouette was completed on April 27 1989. The specs are listed as: Black, rosewood, HSS Schaller pickups, Schaller tremolo system - and it was originally shipped to Germany.

marantz, your SSS Silhouette was completed on May 20 1990 and was shipped to the U.K. Color is not listed, only as "Special," which I am guessing means either Seafoam Green or Salmon/Peach. Am I right?

Its natural.Just varnish over the wood.Ash I think.It all seems standard,unmodded.Here's a pic if it helps.Is it a one off? Thanks.

marantz, there were about 40 made with the same stock number as your guitar had, all with the same designation of "Special" It seems there were 20 of these "Specials" were shipped to the U.K. over 1989-90. What is unclear is if they were all the same, or (as I suspect) , the "Special" part numbers were used for a series of limited-run guitars. I will see if I can find out more.

For some reason this is only showing up in the system as a Luke with no other specifications listed. The records indicate the build date is 7/1/99 and it was shipped to Guitar Center. This would have to be Luke Blue or Black though - I am relatively certain that those were the only two colors offered on the Luke at that time, and there were no other options yet.
