Other good guitarists wont play anothers signature guitar. I am lucky with mine (or did something right) I make guitars for good to great guitarists......

I think it is a matter of great respect...respect for the EBMM signature artists...respect for the quality of the EBMM instruments...and respect for the company. So yes Big Poppa you definitely did and are doing it right!

You know, I never considered the Sterling as a "signature bass" before. Probably because it only bears your first name which is also an adjective. (I didn't really know much about the company itself until I joined this forum a few months ago.)

Maybe it's just time to open another manufacturing plant? Slowly, of course, as we'd want the quality to maintain.

What about with Tony MacAlpine or Dave Martone..? They are the best guitar players all over the world. I know that they aren't so popular musicians as others, but maybe it would be a good idea to ask them..This is just an opinion..

Dean Herrera, AJ Minette, Mike Nordeen (The Human Abstract) are endorsed by EBMM. They play JP's and are very happy with them. I have talked to them a couple of times and are extremely happy with them. I don't know what happened to AJ and Mike's endorsement since they both left the band.

I think they will bring a lot of attention to EB since they are rising up. Many kinds including myself enjoy their music and become curious on the gear they use.

Richie Sambora would be great but he has a deal with ESP. The guitar he has with them is absolutely FUGLY!!!!

Go take a look at it.

I always thought he played cool guitars, and I was shocked when he went to ESP. But I was truly shocked  when he came up with his current model.

I think a guy like David Gilmour would be great , or possibly a Brad Paisley model EBMM.

Well yeh Alz just look at Slash's signature Les Paul, it is roughly 7k like the Jimmy Page LP.

Well, it's not. Not unless you're talking about the VOS. I bought a Slash LP Goldtop. Simply because I had to have one. I never play it. The upped frets makes my hand cramp up something fierce. And the price? it's cheaper than my 20ths.

I think what is needed is for EBMM to have greater success with their NON-signature models. Everyone who plays a non siggy model usually plays the bass. The guitars are severly underlooked. The Silo Spec, the Silhouette and the Axis are only 3 lines, but these are what most companies rely on. There aren't enough variations of these models, but I think the BFRs are a good way to raise the company profile to a more high-end level.

If only the guitars were as in-demand as the basses.:D

We've been through these "next signature artist" threads before. My guess is that the next one won't be anyone we've ever thought of before (except maybe Michael Landau, or Vernon Reid, or...

...a Chris Thile electric mandolin???)

I agree.

Slash's Les Paul is as much a part of his image as his top hat. They all go together. The Les Paul is important to his career.

I agree that EBMM needs to have more success with the non-signature guitars.

Whitestrat, what prompted you to assert that there aren't enough variation of these models? I'm curious to know to which corners of guitarists needs you were referring that are not covered by EBMM's current arsenal.

What options would you like to see? Perhaps a country guitar with a different pickup arrangement than the AL? 13-pin synth access?

1. I'd like to see the Silhouette offered with a floating bridge (ala petrucci) along with the hardtail and vintage trem options (though I'd probably go for the vintage trem myself only).

2. I'd like to see the Silhouette Special offered with a HH or HSH possibility (swimming pool route) and the above trem options.

3. I'd like to see the Axis Super Sport offered in SSH (ala Axis Sport) config but with that current wood combo. SSH direct mounted with Basswood/maple combo will be killer!

4. I'd like the Silo Spec to be offered in Ash if possible (like they used to do with the Silos)

5. I'd like the piezo option on the Silos and Specs to be switchable. Just an added switch on the pickguard would be awesome!

6. I'd also like an option to have a BLACK headstock, regardless of body colour. Imagine a white silo, maple neck, black headstock. Ooh... gorgeous!

7. I'd like to have the possiblity of buyin a direct mounted (no pickguard) Silo/Silo Spec. The Luke doesn't count. The neck is very different.

8. I'd like (and this is most likely UNLIKELY, which is why it's last) to be able to order a Silo Spec in various wood options. (ebony fretboard? 20th/bfr wood combo?) And possibly hardware colour options?

AND, perhaps ALL EBMM guitars should come with corresponding EBMM straplocks?
