Capt Moto I politely request that you not refer to my silhouette bass as a baritone guitar. heheheheh
Nice snag and a great picture of the Sapph Black. I guess you never know which models will work best for you until you've tried them all. The Silo Bass always seems like it would be a fun compliment to have around. Enjoy![]()

So far it is cool, just adjusting to the A-a tuning
I always figured if I ever picked one up I would go with the standard E-E an octave down (I need to keep things as simple as possible for myself). If tuning becomes the issue you can always re-adjust and then re-assess (I'm just not sure if the string set would be the same).
Great buy, Fing. It'll be good to hear your thoughts on what the Silo bass is like to play.
It's been really interesting to read about (and see!) your journey through the EB range in search of that elusive "one" that is just right.
Also I was glad to have benefitted from one of your stops on that journey.Gotta love a Luke!
That is REALLY cool looking. I forgot that this model existed. I just checked the official EBMM site and it looks like there are 2 tunings available. The string set gauges for the 2 tunings look different enough so I'm guessing it's not a trivial thing to be able to switch between the two because of the nut slots.
Any chance of some clips to hear what that 2-way switch interacts with the 5-way? That would be great if you could...
fing, I was thinking of doing some Koa JP, BFR JP, and regular JP YouTube clips this weekend. Maybe I could toss an A-a Silo clip in there, too?![]()
