Ahh, hello children. It's lovely to see that this thread is still working its magic.

btunn...

I do work at a shop in Edmonton. I would suggest you do the following things to make your acquisition of a JP the most smooth.

1) Email Beth @ ernieball.com . Ask her the ordering code for the guitar you desire. She will reply in a steadfast manner, as she is most amazing.

2) Go to Long and McQuade. I know they are the Canadian version of Guitar Center, and very corporate. It is worth it to go with them because they have large buying power and won't waste any time. That's the great thing with conglomerates. They don't muck about. You'll need about 20% of the total down, and they have in-store financing if you are unable to come up with the entire sum. Even bum musicians like myself can have great credit with them. I've been dealing with them for ten plus years, and they get the job done.

3) Wait for three to five months and you will have a lovely guitar in your hands with zero hassle.

I'd love to offer you more help but in an attempt to get you the guitar you desire as fast as humanly possible, this is the most expedient route. Hopefully this helps you get that guitar a little quicker.

Cheers.

Thanks for the quick responce. I have a friend who bought a right handed one through L&M and it took almost 1 year to get it. They lost his order then re-ordered it and then forgot to place the order. I don't like to deal with the guys here in Calgary they are well... I don't know how to put it so I won't bad mouth them out loud (or did I). I do have another option though so I will pursue them first. If all else fails then off to L&M I go. Thanks for the advice regarding the email address, I'll get on that one right away!! 2-5 months huh, no worries I'm use to waiting 8-9 ,almost like a baby.

Again so happy about this!!

If you are forced to order through L&M, then you want to place the order and check up every week for details of the progress. The guy in Toronto is called Steve Duncan. He's the main ordering fellow for the entire chain. I feel bad for him because there should be ten people doing his job. What a sad state.

Long and McQuade has been revamping itself over the last couple years. They've since gone completely corporate as I mentioned before. Where losing an order or finding out that it was done wrong was a regular occurrence in the past, the system has become relatively efficient. I have had much success with them and think you should have the same. If the alternate measure fails, don't be so negative about L&M. Give them a chance and if they do muck it up then you can always cause a big stinking fuss.

I love them except the first fret!! But with a BFR inlay at the 12th I reckon the two will compliment eachother.

It's not childish at all. Remember, in the end it's going to be your guitar so might is well go b@lls out.

Awesome!!

I'm guessing that a lot of us lefties will be ordering the Mystic dream since we never could have ordered it before, on any guitar for that matter.

yep.. It IS a dream come true for us guys.. Even when I****z had the JP model, they didnt come out with a left-handed model. except for the cheap @** replica of the jem - jem555, none were made available as a left-hand option.

we have the JP6 and JP7 now .. even a BFR..

lets REJOICE!!! Cheers!!!:D
