Hey, BP... I see one of the basses with a maple board. Will the instruments be orderable by the end user or will it be a purchase from current inventory procedure. 'cause I like a niice maple board! :)

Dang. And here I decided not to go to NAMM this year. I bought a Squier Classic Vibe strat as a backup to my Silhouette Special a few months back because I couldn't afford another Silhouette. The Squier is ok but I can't get with the neck and to me the silo neck is king.

These look good and here's hoping for a Sterling by Music Man Silhouette Special!!

we have to remember that many people for whatever reason would love to own a Music Man but can't. I never carried OLP but this is exciting for many reasons and one of those reasons is those people that wanted to get into MM but couldn't now can. The name is great I personally will be ordering many... Nice job BP.

people thought Epiphone was a bad name too....it was. Squier? Did you know that they used that name because they had limited trademark protection as that was the name of the original string factory in batle creek michigan that CBS bought...Squier Manufacturing?

IT really doesnt matter.....Oh yeah how about Music Man for a name.......I can just picture somebody bringing that up in a marketing brainstroming session today.....

THis whole instant critique of the branding is why you guys are cayenne pepper....

THe important thing to talk about is the quality and commitment to same that the Park family has and their beautiful execution...The samples are scary good.....

- I'm personally delighted abou this whole Sterling line, 09 is gonna be a poop storm for alot of people in the UK (and probably everywhere) -so not having to find a couple of thousand this year to buy a new ball means I could maybe get 1 or 2 Sterlings without breaking the bank, Pretty good timing and clever to boot!

When will these be available in the UK? It was the OLP Axis that made Mrs OLPlayer buy me an EBMM Axis SS. I'm hoping that if I buy a "Sterling" Silo, the same will happen!!!

They all look cool and I'm sure Mrs OLPlayer will be buying a Ray 34 when they go on sale.

If there's a seven-string model of the JP I'm going to have to buy one. I'm GASing so hard for a JP7, and this might be my only chance.

So, I've had a few days to soak this in and get some crazy ideas in my head... here goes. LOL

Silo Special would be awesome... Strat tones with a much cooler looking guitar. lol

The JP50... I could go on all day with this one. The biggest thing that excites me is that I can get this and play with pickup configurations and get an idea how close I can get things to sound like I have in my head, without buying a MM JP6 and never having the nerve to change something out that I don't really know how it will work. Granted, pickups isn't a big deal... don't like them, put the originals back in, but unless I really know I want it, I don't want to alter a guitar that is otherwise perfect, and the change is really not because of disliking the original version but checking out what could be done if I had multiple instruments. So, I see one of these in my future... if the price is right, multiple. Hopefully some cool plain jane colors will be offered that I wouldn't normally get so I can get some variety going in my life. LOL

The basses are where I get really interested. I'm guessing it wouldn't be too hard to find some MM pickups on the bay or somewhere... I LOVE the MM bass sounds. But, I'm a guitar player and thousand dollar basses aren't in my budget. I liked the OLPs, but these actually have me Gassing and not just thinking they are nice for someone else. If a six string is ever offered... I'll faint. LOL

So, there's my little narcissistic pointless post of the day. I thought someone might get a laugh out of my continued adolescent love of all things EB guitar related. lol

BP, I'm not really sure what you meant by this? us guys are cayenne pepper? Huh?

But I can tell you having the Park family make these Sterling guitars is muy caliente baby...

Is it wrong to ask what other guitars the Park family builds?

These look really nice.

Maybe he means that by slamming it because of the name you are burning his ASS so to speak... I'm sure he will clarify if he so desires.

Me? well I'm just happy to have another opportunity to get a mid-level line in the store that is quality, and that I have the ability to help out more knuckleheads and some local yocals :D

From my brief talk today with the guys at Sterling by MM, these will be VERY affordable, and priced near where the SUBs were. It makes me want to stock a LOT of them...

More details after NAMM, so I don't step on any pre-release toes!
