Hello every one and happy new year from France (ok it's a bit late...) !

I have just bought the Stingray number 26670, looks to be a late 87 one but I would love to know its date of birth ! It seems to be Honeyburst but I am not sure it was called like that in the 80's. The neck is birdseyed with maple fretboard.

The bass is fitted with a clear transparent pickgard. Is there any chance it is the original one (as it is claimed by the seller) ? If not, can you please tell me what colour was the original pickgard ?

Régis, Happy New back to you ~ 11/04/87 is the build date on this bass. The finish is called Sunburst (now referred to as Honeyburst), and it would have originally shipped with a white pickguard. It was originally shipped to our UK distributor.

Limited just means that they are only available for 1 year. It's not typical for EBMM to release those numbers, but good luck.
