It's a no brainer Dean.

20th's can tickle your nuts with a feather or hit them like a steel cap boot.

It's a Hardtail too.......... yeah baby.

EDIT : 2000 posts - yee har !

Can always count on Dizz to give you clear and concise descriptions.

I'd say go for Dwells. If I had your collection (Silo spec, Lukes and JP) I'd lean towards something on the opposite spectrum like a 25th or a Baritone. But that's my humble opinion.

They are a sweet guitar. It will kill pop/rock/jazz.

To be honest, if i was using mine for heavier stuff consistently... I may consider changing the pick ups...
But then again, I use stock Marshalls as opposed to something that can drive like your JSX, so you'll probably be laughing.

Do it :D

It would be an interesting choice for you Dean, I dont see it as being a shred axe, it has a bit more too it than that, but I guess its capable.

+1

I wouldn't exactly call Lukes shred axes either, but Dean friggin rips faces off with them, so I reckon he'll also cane it with a 20th - plus the other styles he mentioned

Dean, didn't you also have an ASS sporting P90's at one point? Or am I just going nuts here?

But I'd go with the consensus around here, go for it. 20th Silo is all versatility.

Well put Rob.

I would go out on a limb and call the Luke 1 a suitable shred axe... and the Luke 2 more of a quality all rounder.
Indeed, righteous chops. I reckon you'll dig it.

in Hell... with cows...
it will do anything short of metal (with the stock pups anyway). mega distortion will NOT help. but as a ballance to the rest of your gear, it might do the trick.

slight hijack: man, i can't believe i'm so stoked about my JP6. i already have it for more than 3 weeks!

I also can't speak to whether or not it's a good shredder...but it's a fantastic guitar and can easily handle pop/rock/jazz. It's also very comfortable.

i love the feel of them, played one at billy hydes and loved it! not sure about shred.. but will easily cover most other things... but in saying that the luke and your old ASS arent really 'shred' guitars, and in that video you posted a while back you absolutely rip it up on both of them! id say go for it dude :)
