duuuude +1, that is the greatest metal solo period, I dont care if its not the fastest, nothing touches that shred, Cementary Gates gets close though.
Octavarium is my favorite JP solo, from the 7 string shred to the Jingle bell interlude to the haunting outro, that song is really what made me love music.
November Rain, amazing feeling in this song, longest solo for a song that ever made it to number 1
Comfurtably Numb Pulse version is without a doubt my favorite live solo
Buckethead- Too Many Humans, Nottingham Lace, Soothsayer...actually pretty much any solo he does.
When I was in 7th grade just getting into rock I can specificallly remember the 1st time I ever heard the Heartbreaker solo and my jaw dropped, I thought it was the most amazing thing I ever heard, that also hapened the first time I heard Toxicity, it changed my life, I didnt know music could ever be that heavy.
honestly evh's solo on beat it. its my ringtone on my phone. someday i will get around to learning it. i also dig vai's sisters. the solo for dream is over from vh's **** album is pretty killer too.
The "Don't Look Back" solo by Boston.
Pretty much every Michael Schenker solo on the Strangers in the Night live album. MS at his best.
